In memory of the late Stuart Mckay, and in association with the club that he founded, BOA Grappling presents the Stuart Mckay No-Gi Memorial Competition.

The event will take place on Sunday the 22nd of August and will act as a tribute to Stuart who would be celebrating his 40th birthday this month, with all proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation as per the request of Stuart's family.

The event will be held at:

The Allan Centre, Fountain Road, Bridge of Allan, Stirling, FK9 4AT.

Weight classes will be as follows:

Rooster - 56kg

Light Feather - 62kg

Feather - 68kg

Light - 74kg

Middle - 80kg

Medium Heavy - 86kg

Heavy - 92kg

Super Heavy - 98kg 

Ultra Heavy - over 98kg

In addition, there will be an absolute/open class division with no weight limit.

Each weight class will be divided into the following levels of experience:

Beginner - under 1 year (no BJJ blue belts)

Intermediate - Under 3 years (no BJJ purple belts)

Advanced - Over 3 years (BJJ purple, brown and black belts must enter this category)

Weigh-ins will begin at 9am and continue through to around 11am, with the first fight at around 11.30am

There will be no registration on the day. Registration closes 18/08/2010

Spectators are welcome (free entry), but a small donation to the British Heart Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
